Untethered jailbreaking remained the most awaiting release from the time Apple launched iPhone 4S. It was also the main hurdle in the way of unlocking the latest baseband 4.11.08 of iPhone 4S running on iOS 5.0.1. Couple of hours ago, Posixninja released GreenPois0n Absinthe for the said purpose. Unlike all the previous jailbreaking tools, it is specially for iPhone 4S (running iOS 5, iOS 5.0.1) and iPad 2 (Wifi/GSM/CDMA) running iOS 5.0.1. In more general term, we can say that it is compatible just for all the A5 devices. How To Use Greenpoison Absinthe 1.2.2 To Untethered Jailbreak iPhone 4S & iPad 2 Running iOS 5.0.1 On Mac OS X

STEP 1: Download the custom GreenPois0n Absinthe for windows and unzip it in C Drive of your computer.

STEP 2: Now go to “Run”, type “cmd” and hit “Enter”.

STEP 3: Once the command prompt interface is opened, type CD C:\cinject_0.4.3 as shown in figure and hit enter to access the folder of the custom GreenPois0n Absinthe you downloaded in step 1.

STEP 4: Now type cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig and press enter.

STEP 5: Now type cinject.exe -j to make the full backup of all the setting before proceeding.

STEP 6: Finally, execute the command cinject.exe -w.

STEP 7: Once done, Absinthe icon will be appearing on the home screen. On clicking it, GreenPois0n official website will be opened and device will be rebooted. after the restart of device, you will notice that cydia icon has been converted to Absinthe icon.

Congratulations! you have successfully jailbroken you iPhone 4S. Same method is also applicable on iPad 2 as well.

Warning Note:

Note down that after this jailbreaking method, you will face two main issues.

Establishing A Database connections.
Camera roll error.
