Recently, they released CyanogenMod Alpha 2 which is a small update of Alpha 1 version of CyanogenMod. If you never heard about it, then it is basically a custom ROM for discontinued tablets. The steps are as given below:
Step 1: First of all download CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 2 in the root of memory card.
Step 2: The second step is to grip and hold the power button and hit the reboot button to reboot to ClockworkMod Recovery.
Step 3: Now go to Install zip and install the file you downloaded in step 1.
Step 4: When all process are done select reboot system and you will get your device reboot.
Step 5: Wait for few minutes and let the process get complete. Once done, reboot your device.
Now the HP Touch Pad should boot in CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 2 Android 4.0.3 (Ice cream Sandwich)
If you follow the above steps correctly than your CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 2 will be installed correctly which is based on Android 4.0.3 ICS version.
